I am using my phone to track exercise/distance instead of my watch. It appears there was an update to the Android App exercise tracking screen.
Now my distances seem inaccurate - the app is tracking almost twice my normal distance. I figured the first time, it might have been a fluke because I hadn't restarted my phone in awhile. This morning, however, I restarted my phone before my run. The app tracked my distance as over 4 miles when I know it was probably closer to 1.5.
Anyone experiencing the same issue?
Below, you can see my average distance for the last 30 days, and my last 2 runs of July are almost double even though I am following the same route and pace.

Hello @tivermaU
Since you've started using your phone to track your runs, are you also wearing your Fitbit device when you run?

Yes I am wearing my versa 2 watch but tracking the exercise and distance using the app on my phone. I had been doing the same combo this whole month.

Hello @tivermaU
It looks like your Versa 2 and your phone were tracking distance since you have both when you do your run, thus doubling the distance. Using your phone as a connected device in the Fitbit app is an option to track activities like walks & runs when you're not wearing your Fitbit device.
If I understand your information correctly, it looks like you were able to wear your Versa 2 and have your phone during your runs without seeing double tracked distance. I'm not sure why this worked before.
To prevent the double distance tracking, I believe you would have to either leave your Versa 2 or phone at home. Or remove your phone as a connected device in the Fitbit app.
