Can anyone confirm if either the Samsung Galaxy J7 or Motorola Moto G6 are compatible with the Ionic?
Going to ignore the default "check compatible device list" response, which is painfully outdated. Apparently Motorola phones have not be tested since 2014

Your posts were merged and moved into the Android section of the forums so you might get better responses. If you do a search or just check some of the subject lines, you might see a member posting about the phones you mentioned.
See thread Compatible Device List - last updated 10th July '17 .
You will see how android users feel.
Peruse other threads to see how responsive Fitbit is to android users concerns.
Draw your own conclusions.
Good Luck.
Finally some useful feedback other than the logically-challenged volunteer forum police.
Tried for days searching before posting the question. The Galaxy J7 has been around and for a while but those posts don't have happy endings, curious if anyone got it to work with the Ionic recently.
Moto G6 is fairly new but has already gotten the "not currently supported" cut & paste response.
Guess I'm reaching out to other Ionic users, not anyone from Fitbit

I always see the list as a non-tested list.. I have my Sony Xperias and having no issues. I made sure the phone had the latest OS and supported by my Telco. There has been no inclusions of these for over 3 years.
Figured I'd try again. Anyone have any luck with either of these phones? Seems to be several variations of the Galaxy J7 (Perx, Duo, Core, Etc.) with varying success. Moto G6 also has a few models but not many have asked.
Alternatively, are there any unlocked phones that can be confirmed as compatible? Already burned by a $300 fitness tracker, I'm not dropping $1,000 for a phone (which still may not be compatible).
