Ionic not Getting Text Messages from Note 9

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I now cannot receive text message notifications on my fitbit ionic with my Note 9. I receive ALL other notifications just NOT text. I have called customer service, we went through every possible trouble-shooting idea, they just told me to replace the device. If I change the default messages in the fitbit app to the facebook messenger app, it works. I received an update notification for Fitbit AND Andriod the same day. I cannot figure out which update has caused the problem. I really need this feature to be operational. If anyone has any ideas, I am open to suggestions.

What is the fix?

So, I just downloaded the update (3.1) which was supposed to have bug fixes, but my messages are still not working. I removed the device and linked it again, did all the rebooting, etc. Nothing! Is anyone else having any luck?

It sounds like People saying the ionic has no problem receiving messages and that the phone is not sending them.

My thought would be to disable notifications on the Fitbit app. Log out and in, enable notifications and accept any permissions requested.

I'm on my third beta 3.1 update and have not had any issues since 2.8?

The issue is that this problem only had affected some, asked it harder to pin down.

As for big fixes, Fitbit is silent on what issues have been fixed.

@Rich_Lauesadly, it didn't work. I am on chat with support, and all their efforts are also in vain. Seems this was not fixed for all. Thanks for trying to help. I appreciate it.

I downloaded version 3 and it worked on my Oppo r17pro I haven't downloaded
3.1 yet as Im worried they may have broken it again so I'm staying with 3
for niw. Sorry that didn't help you.

I finally got someone to tell the truth:

"I'd like to bring to your attention that this is a known issue that has just been reported to us and our engineering team is already aware of and actively working on a fix."

And now we wait.
