Ionic not pairing with Samsung S20 Ultra - not in the compatible phone list

Yesterday 11/04/2020 I bought the new Samsung S20 Ultra and realised after many restarts, turn Bluetooth off and on again... that the new Samsung S20 is not compatible with FitBit products!

This news is rather disappointing knowing that the new phone was announced a few months ago and that Samsung is one of the leading brands in smartphones worldwide. However, what is the most disappointing fact I discovered this morning when browsing the FitBit communist, was the fact that enough people must ask for the application to be compatible with the new phone for the FitBit developers to make it work https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/Ionic-and-Samsung-Galaxy-S20-compatibility/td-p/4143026.

Seeing that multiple people took the time to share their frustration on the FitBit community https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/Samsung-S20-compatibility/idi-p/4090839
https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/Samsung-s20-5G-compatibility/idi-p/4129388
and are almost begging for their Fitbit device to work with Samsung S20 range, I am surprised to find out that one month after the first posts, it is still an issue.

I am obviously one of those customers as well, excited to unpack my new phone and set it up until I hit the FitBit wall of my Ionic not pairing.

Although I really don't want to change watch as I have been a Fitbit Premium customer for almost 5 years and my membership just renewed. However, this looks like I am forced to find another watch, compatible with the latest technology, to continue monitoring my exercise and body functions.

A good idea would be to let Fitbit customers know about an ETA on when we can expect a resolution, but with no date to look forward to, this may never be resolved.

Let me know if there is any update on this issue.

Thank you in advance for your reply.

Hi brother,

Here are the solutions:

1- link your watch with Fitbit app in your old phone.

2- then, enter you personal account.

3- you will find your ionic has been linked under devices. So, Press on the ionic.

4- delete this page by pressing the button on the top of the page.

5- restart your ionic and your new phone.

6- pair them and it will be linked.

Have tried that, it still doesn't pair with the new S20 Ultra.
