Ionic wont sync after 08/08 update

Fit bit app updated on 08/08 and now ionic will not sync. It keeps saying to restart blue tooth which I did. Also all day an error message displays every 15 mins saying fit bit app has failed, try again or close app. I saw some posts saying you need at least android 5, I have a brand new LG g7 thinQ running android 8. It synced fine on the 7th with this new phone when everyone else was having syncing issues. Please fix this disaster of a mess your app programmers made these last few weeks.

Hello  @meberose.

 

This might be happening because the LG G7 is not on the supported devices list. This means that the app has not been fully optimized to work with that phone and thus issues like this are to be expected. 

 

What could've happened is that the latest version of the app caused some further optimization issues and caused the Fitbit to stop working with your phone.

 

As long as the phone fulfills the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, there is a chance that they will work correctly however we cannot guarantee it. Having said that, some users have mentioned that following these steps has helped them get their phones not on the list to sync and work correctly. Maybe you could give it a shot.
