Is it possible to use Baidu GPS maps instead of Google?

Downloaded the fitbit app from china app store, changed my location to China, still will only use google maps and only with vpn on. Problem is, google maps is about half a mile off from actual location in china making it worthless. Any way to get the app to use baidu?

You say Fitbit devices work only with Google Maps and not Baidu, but that's demonstrably false. My new Fitbit Versa 3 uses Baidu when mapping runs, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to change to Google Maps. While I used to live in China and still use a Chinese phone (Huawei P20 Pro), my Fitbit was purchased in the U.S., which is also the location set for me account. At least when I log into my Fitbit account from a computer, the mapped runs are shown on Google Maps. Please advise.
