Issues with sync after Nougat update - ATT Galaxy S7

Constantly having to reboot in order to sync after my S7 was updated to the OTA Nougat release.  No issues before.  Cycling BT won't resolve issue and a complete reboot is required.

Additionally, it syncs fine with my Galaxy tablet.

I'm wondering if anyone has had the same problem or solved the problem. I have a fitbit flex and I'm concerned it won't sync if I upgrade my Samsung Galaxy  S7 Edge to nougat.  My s7 edge has months and months of irritating issues when I first got it, marshmallow,  but thankfully those eventually sorted out. I don't want to upgrade to nougat until the syncing issues are solved.  Any experience or input appreciated.
