Did you mean:

It is truly time to offer a Dark Mode for the Android app (and probably iOS too)

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I am sure this has been asked before.
I understand that this is not always an easy proposition to implement
There are many reasons though that now is not a time to offer an answer such as: not planned for implementation

You are offering many premium programs, that deal with Mindfulness and Relaxation

And after the evening meditation/mindfulness session you are blasted by a bright screen, disrupting all the work you just manifested

All the competition has implemented  either a darker, or an automatically adjusting theme based on system settings for the companion app apple - sammy - garmin
I have been a daily user since 2009, I have used and appreciated all the great features you have added all these years

Your hard work is very much appreciated - daily

It has changed our lives for the better - and for that we are grateful and loyal users/customers

Please, consider this seriously

It is very disrupting to have an OLED dark theme turned on at night, only to dread coming over to the fitbit side, knowing that your retinas will burn

Very respectfully

Nice to see you here, @vagelis.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about the Fitbit app, Fitbit is always working to improve its products and services provided. Be sure that your comments won't be unnoticed as we're always implementing features based on user's feedback. This idea was suggested in the past as you can see here, but for the moment is not planned to be implemented by our team. If your phone has the option to switch to dark mode, the Fitbit app is compatible with it as you can see here.

Hi @BraulioFitbit  - interesting, on a Samsung S9+ with dark mode enabled, and even at night, the Fitbit App is not as you show which may be the reason why so many people are suggesting dark mode?

By chance Is the sample shown taken from an iPhone?

Or is there another phone setting or app setting that would enable dark mode in the App?

NB. Dark mode is working for other apps on the phone.

This dark mode screenshot you posted does not exist in any Android phone that I am aware of.

Is this from an iOS device?

And that is exactly what I was hoping not to hear:
"but for the moment is not planned to be implemented by our team"
this is a response that is at least 2 years old.

I understand how complex this is, but you fitbit has had this request by many for all this time.
Surely that is enough of a timeframe to have assessed the importance of this.
Please reconsider.

I have a iPhone 11 Pro Max. My Fitbit app has the most recent update. My iOS update is current. The Fitbit app doesn’t have a dark mode feature and it DOES NOT adapt to the iOS system dark mode. It’s obvious that the most basic feature requests from Fitbit’s loyal users are the most ignored.

@BraulioFitbit If both iOS and Android users are stating that they are not seeing the mode you are indicating with your screenshot, then what is that you are showing us all?

Please clarify.
We would really like this explained.

Thank you for reading.

My Android v8 has a night mode that reverses the image. Fitbit ignores this setting.

Hi all.

The screenshot is from an Android phone (Xiaomi Poco running the latest Android version) with the Dark Mode enabled. I haven't activated any other special settings, once I switch to this mode, the Fitbit app also changed to dark mode. Even though the dark theme is not currently planned, you can still vote for this idea here so our team can keep tracking the demand over time so you can encourage other users to vote for it so our team can consider implementing this feature on the app.

Thanks for stopping by, see you around.

@BraulioFitbit We voted - this has more than 1000 votes already.
How many people does it take for fitbit to change its mind?
And that post is closed - how is that providing feedback?
I am sorry, I am usually very polite and patient.
But between this retina-burning experience due to lack of dark mode and Health Metrics gone when I switched from Charge 4 to Charge 5, fitbit support appears to be non-existent.
We can all wax poetically on how we feel and understand issues.
It is time to do something.
Surely this is not brain science, or is it?

I clicked the link you provided and what to I see? People have been requesting dark mode since 2015!!  I cannot count the number of Fitbit app updates since 2015 and you’re saying it’s not planned!?  That is unacceptable. Clearly this obvious high demand request is falling dead on the floor with the community moderators.

How do we elevate this to get access to the developers and technicians?  Can you send a link for that?

I agree with @CocoPebbles
How can this be ignored for 6 years running?
Are you not now part of Google?
They have implemented Dark mode in everything!
And you are not even considering it for 6 years?
Very sad state of affairs...
