LG Q6 losing connection to Fitbit Versa during sports

Hi!

I'm experiencing difficulties with the Fitbit app or my Versa itself, specifically that my Versa keeps losing the connection to my phone's (LG Q6) GPS during every run I've done so far. This results in my run summary being wildly inaccurate (wrong pace, wrong distance...) and in a very confusing looking map where I just suddenly appear to sprint at full speed through people's houses and yards accross multiple streets to reach the next point where the watch reconnects with my phone.

This is becoming pretty frustrating, espcially since the 'Zombies Run' app also uses my GPS at the same time without any issues and gives me very accurate summaries of my runs. I know that the LG Q6 is not officially supported and that maybe this explains these issues, but is there anything I can do to improve the connection between my watch and my phone during runs?

Otherwise, after a pretty shaky start, my watch is mostly good at giving me notifications and syncing with my phone in general. There are still times where it won't sync for a few minutes/hours and won't show notifications, but it has been better at those things lately.

Thanks in advance!

Hello @GabbyBV.

Thanks for bringing this details on the matter.

I would say that if a phone is showing on the list of supported devices, it should definitely work correctly. Is there any particular model that you have in mind?

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Welcome to the Forums @GabbyBV.

Thanks for sharing your experience on the matter.

As you mentioned, given that the phone is not supported then that could explain what is going on with the connection between the phones' and the Fitbit's Bluetooth.

Having said that, there is a chance that the turning on the All-Day Sync' and 'Always Connected' on the app could help out. You should be able to see the option if you go into the app and then tap on the top-right corner. There tap on your Fitbit and you should be able to see these options. Make sure that they are turned on.

Hi, @LanuzaFitbit! Thank you for your response.

I checked the fitbit app and it turns out that I have both of those options already enabled. I guess that I am out of luck for the tracker to work properly for the moment.

To your knowledge, is it possible that the problem is with my Versa itself, or should using any of the other phones mentioned as being officially supported fix the problem? Are there similar connectivity problems with officially supported phones? I will try to change my phone in a few months (which is a bummer as I didn't have the Q6 for that long and which means I won't have accurate data from my Versa until then), but should I steer clear from certain models which are supported but have been having similar issues?

Thanks again!

Thank you again for your response, that is reassuring! I didn't have a model in mind for now, but perhaps I'll ask on the forums when I do! Thank you for your help!
