Got a brand new phone that just released this year for Christmas. And got the newest fitbit Versa 2. Super excited, set everything up, got a app on the fitbit to have my personal photo and boom fitbit isn't even compatible with the phone for calls and texts. All i get is steps and time.. I could have done that with a regular watch! Now i just want to throw the fitbit in the trash because its completely pointless.
The watch is "suppose" to work with technology above the 7.0 so why doesn't it work with a brand new phone? I've spoken to at least 50 people about the fitbit, now my suggestion is do not get one! I just read someone asking to make it compatible back in October. And a lady replied with a troubleshoot method. Its now December and it still hasn't been fixed! This phone just released in August. The more people that buy it the more the complaints will roll in. But apparently they don't care or they would have done more than give a suggestion in 3 months.

Hi @Cindyfoster46, welcome to the Community Forums! My apologies for the delayed reply.
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts and personal experience with your Fitbit device, I understand your situation and how frustrating this matter can be for you. I'd like to let you know that we are always striving to improve the Fitbit experience with our products and services, therefore, the feedback that's shared here in the Community Forums is always appreciated and really helpful for us to evaluate our procedures and make sure that we are delivering what our users want and need.
Let me share with you that we are constantly working and testing different mobile devices to make sure that they work as intended with our products and services. As it turns out, at this moment I'm unable to let you know when or if the LG Stylo 5 will be added to our list of compatible devices, however, my best advice for you will be to constantly check our list of compatible devices for any update.
Let me know if you have any additional questions, I'll be around.

@Cindyfoster46 : Did you ever get it to work by chance?
I’m curious if it’s the hardware issue (which I hope someday will be fixed) or if it’s the particular phone, which I had been thinking of buying (...but with all the Versa firmware issues have been concerned about buying any new phone -sigh-).

I am curious about the Fitbit Versa 2 working with the LG Stylo 5... Is yours working properly with all functions of steps, exercise, texts, calls, etc.
Thanks!

Click on Account (your pic or blank face)
Click on device (inspire 2, etc)
Click notifications (Under "General" -blue text)
Allow Fitbit access to storage, messages, notifications, etc.
Go back into notifications and click 3 little dots in top right corner
Select "send test call notification"
I have Inspire 2 and Stylo 5. It took a moment to register, but after the test call I was able to instantly receive texts on my Inspire 2.
I hope this helps someone else new to FitBit 🙂
