Live heart rate removed from app.

I have just been told by @FerdinandFitbit that live heart rate is no longer available in app. What is going on. I have this showing on the tile in the current version. Many people use this when on treadmills etc. when it isn't always convenient to be waving your arm about to see your tracker.

Which idiot decided this was what we want ?

Personally I want my fitbit for health and exercise purposes. You can keep your music controls and all the extraneous bells and whistles that just seem to stop everything else working. What will you cut next?  The ongoing farces with android pie, compatible devices and the release of equipment that doesn't function or isn't fully tested has convinced me that there is no point in purchasing a further fitbit when my charge 2 fails.

People appear to be paying through the nose to be your beta testers.

I will not be one of them .

Hi @LanuzaFitbit this came up in @FerdinandFitbit's reply to @Mizverdeize's query about live heart rate showing in app. He said that it was no longer available.  Another thread also implied this. Mine is showing on the tile in app. OK. We have communicated on this in the past when mine stopped showing after an update tripped up the notification section and you advised me successfully to reset it.

This is why I was so upset at the thought of this being removed. I was assuming another update was in the pipeline that hadn't hit me yet.

Thanks for your quick response.

Cheers

Hello @Lilbiddy.

I'm sorry for the confusion, there was probably a misunderstanding from our part.

The live heart rate feature has not been removed from the Fitbit app. Are you experiencing issues with it at the moment? If so, please let me know so that I can help you figure out what is going on.

Look forward to your reply.

Well my fitbit still wasn’t showing the heart rate and after unpairing and restarting and every other step recommended it won’t sync to my Samsung S8. I’ve done everything.

Hello @Mizverdeize.

Thanks for trying all of the steps that are recommended.

Have you made sure that notifications and all-day sync are turned on? Keep in mind that notifications need to be enabled for the live HR data to display correctly.

Look forward to your reply .
