I have a large pond, 50' by 250'. I have to rake out copious Chara (a weed), load the wheelbarrow with the weeds and muck, dump and repeat over and over on multiple days all summer. I would like to enter this as exercise but don't see how.

@RiekoC Thanks for your input! @Carolfits Welcome to the forums. Thanks for reaching about how to track your activities with your Fitbit device.

Depending on your device, you can select "workout" to log it with your Fitbit device. That is the generic activity type. You can also let your Fitbit device recognize your training automatically. Only specific workouts are auto-tracked (), but an activity lasting a minimum of 15 minutes is typically tracked as a "sports". One can then rename or re classify this training to say "yardwork".

Hello & welcome @Carolfits

I believe most Fitbits have a generic "Workout" that you can select so you can track the activity as an exercise.

You probably need to manually start & stop the session. After you finish the session, you should be able to go into the Fitbit app and rename the workout (e.g., "Pond clearing"), if you want to keep track of your exercise metrics during your major yardwork project.

If you let us know which Fitbit you have, we can give you specific directions.

Take care when you start your project & stay hydrated.
