How do I login to the Android app with my Google account? On the website I had the option 'login with Google account' but not in the app... So I'm blocked and cannot use my new Fitbit device! 😭

Technical service told me "my phone" is not supported. That's it then, end of story for me... 😲
More details:
The 'common' Fitbit app does not support phones running Android 8.1.0...
I do hope Fitbit will improve backwards compatibility of their app. Backwards compatibility for >10 years seems like a reasonable target... (we don't like a throwaway society, right? 😊)

You should see this screen when you open the Fitbit app:
Choose the Sign in with Google option.
If you don't see that option, you can try deleting the app and reinstalling.

That's not the screen I'm getting. I get the following screen.
And when I choose 'Log In', I'm requested for an Email and Password. There's no 'Sign in with Google' option.
I already deleted the app. I already deleted cache of the app.

Extra info:
- I already have a Fitbit account. I created that online, and can access it online without a problem.
- And, no, I cannot login to the App using my Google email + password.

What version of the Fitbit app do you have installed?
What phone and OS version are you using?
And you can't use your Gmail and password to login once you've moved your account to Google, you'll get error messages.

Fitbit app is version 3.75. I just installed it.
I have a Moto G5 running Android 8.1.0; ~5 years old so OK I'd think...

That version is too old, current app version is 4.16.
Unfortunately, you won't be able to update with that phone, current requirements are Android version 10.0 or newer.

Android version 8.1.0 was released on August 21, 2017 so it's nearly 7 years old. The current release is 14.0. The Moto G5 was released in February, 2017.
Most smartphone manufacturers only support 2 or 3 major version updates, although some recent phones may be getting up to 7 years of updates. Even if they had that policy when your phone was released, your phone wouldn't be eligible for any updates.

Do to security changes, fitbit supports android v9 and newer. I understand the wanting to keep an older phone. Do you have an android tablet?
