Looking for a Fitbit device with specific features

My wife has Parkinson’s Disease and her android phone somehow keeps losing its volume down to -0-.

I am looking for a watch that can be paired with her Samsung J7 smartphone that will notify her of her times for taking medication, that she has a text message (and that she can answer the text message from the watch).  The sounds just need to be loud enough for a person with regular hearing and that the numbers and letters can be easily seen.

Would you have a reasonably priced watch that can do that?

Hi @Michael1937, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and the details that were shared in your post. First, I'd like to let you know that the Samsung Galaxy J7 is not listed as a compatible device with our products and services, therefore, you can experience connection difficulties with such mobile device and the notifications feature of our Fitbit devices. Also, keep in mind that the notifications feature of Fitbit devices is not with sound but vibrations, she'll be able to reply with the Quick Replies feature because she's using an Android device. To learn more about this specific feature, I suggest you to check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device?.

If you're looking the best Fitbit device for her, you can check and compare the features that our devices have on this page.

Let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thank you for responding.
I did take the questionnaire and it recommended the Fitbit Versa lite but I
ordered the Versa two special edition. It arrives tomorrow. I purchased
it through Amazon so if I cannot get it to work, I will return it. Do you
have a watch for android like the one you have for apple that will kind of
work independently from the phone? I know a person that has the apple and
she says she can leave the phone at home and just take her watch. Said she
paid about $400.00 for it. She is able to return text messages with her
phone.

You're welcome @Michael1937, your update is appreciated.

Thanks for the details that were shared in your post, I'm happy to know that you ordered our Fitbit Versa 2 which has more features than the Versa Lite version. Even though the Samsung Galaxy J7 is not listed as a compatible device, this doesn't mean that you'll not be able to use your Fitbit device with it. That said, if you experience difficulties please do not hesitate to contact me back and I'll gladly provide you assistance.

You can use the device without your phone to track your steps, floors, heart rate and exercises too, however, you'll need the mobile device in order to sync such information to the Fitbit app and receive notifications on the Versa 2 because the notifications feature works with Bluetooth technology.

Let me know if you have any additional questions.
