Manual activities won't log steps, AZM and calories on Android

I've noticed in recent days that the Android app is no longer logging manually entered runs properly.  Manual Log > Activity > Run will log the run in Android app, but it doesn't convert the manually logged run to steps anymore.  Track Live > Start Exercise > Log Previous > Exercise Type = Run doesn't even save the activity in the app at all. I have found that web site still works. If you log it on the website it will convert to steps. I have tried uninstall/reinstall app. I have restarted my phone and also my Fitbit, which is a Charge 5. No of that made any difference. I would like it if the Android app worked for manually logging runs because that is easier to use on my phone than the website. FYI, I manually log treadmill runs and use the Fitbit for walking/running outside. Fitbit doesn't seem to track mileage well on treadmill.

Same here, this has been happening since the last update. I do GPS Tracking on the phone when hiking. It turns on, finds GPS, tracks everything, however after I tap Finish, the activity is nowhere to be found in the Fitbit App, just gone. So I tried adding it manually, same thing, it is nowhere to be found.

Yes, my Versa 2 started doing the same thing, I even reset it, which made no difference. So I thought it was my Versa that messed up my Fitbit App, but now that I removed my Versa from Fitbit I still have the same issue, no tracked activities.

The fact they are closing the Web dash on July 8th while we can't use the app for basic needs tells me they don't care about customers. I pay from premium and will be cancelling my subscription and moving to another brand.

This doesn't work! There is clearly a software issue. How can it he so hard for you to allow us to add manual activities

They are closing the Web dash in July so you won't be able to do that in future.

OMG I thought I was going crazy! The latest update is garbage. My daughter is also having problems with her versa 2, she has been conditioning for soccer tryouts and her watch never tracked her run.

I have noticed the exact same problem this week! I thought I was going crazy! I have a Pixel watch and I have to manually add my treadmill logs because I walk while I'm working and typing. Suddenly this week the app *might* credit me 20 steps for walking.5 to 1 mile at a time. Like you, I have tried allll the things and nothing is fixing it. It's very frustrating!

Same thing here. Today first time I tried entering it on the website and it worked. The first 10 days it worked fine entering activities on the app and it converted to steps. Stopped working about a week ago.

I was having the same issue with manually added exercise. I usually add this through my tablet after a workout and it appeared on that version of the app on my tablet only. It didn't transfer to my phone. I un-installed the app and reinstalled it on both devices only to lose the data I had reported on my tablet. Thanks a lot fitbit. After my 3rd charge 5 in 2 years died and I replaced it with a charge 6, this is the next issue. No wonder people eventually move to the Apple ecosystem. An Apple watch doesn't sound like a bad replacement.

It seems like the app updates were not fully tested before pushed out. They may have tested whatever new stuff they added, but didn't bother with testing existing features to make sure they still work. It would have been better to take more time to fully test instead of rushing this stuff out. They should leave the website in place until they have a fix for the issue with the manual logging in the app.

I tried on the website and the manual entry doesn’t sync with the app!

Seems to have started just recently, 2 or 3 days now. I use a walker to get around. My outdoor walks are about 1/2 mile twice a day.

I am considering putting my device on the walker somewhere,  maybe it will register?

Lizzy with respect fitbit have known about this issue for days and don't seem to be doing anything to fix it. Everything was working fine before the latest update. Why am I paying a monthly subscription if fitbit can't even get the basics right!

Even now if you manually log on the Web it doesn't carry over. This is utterly pathetic from a company like this
