This problem has been ongoing for just about forever, no change between app versions:
Background: The device registers sleep (sometimes deep sleep!) when I work, since I keep the device on my ankle to avoid getting extra steps. So I get a lengthened night sleep and lots of "naps" when I'm sitting still.
Whenever I try to edit or delete these erroneus "sleeps", the app keeps adding them back at some later time. This is extremely annoying, since I need to get a somewhat decent measurement of my sleep for medical purposes.

Hello @SussaB
Although I'm not sure that this will work, have you tried uninstalling and re-installing the Fitbit app?
Are you mainly a desk worker? If so, something else to consider is getting something like a under desk cycle or slide so you can periodically move your feet so your Fitbit doesn't track you as sleeping. If you didn't know, your Fitbit starts tracking sleep when you haven't moved for at least an hour.

Thank you for the suggestions. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing. (And I do move my feet pretty much, as I am the fidgety type by design. Maybe the app thinks I fidget in my sleep.)
What I would like is for the app to believe me when I delete false "sleeps" and not keep adding them back after some hours or even a whole day, sometimes. That shouldn't happen, in my opinion.

Hello @SussaB
Thanks for letting us know that you already have tried uninstalling & re-installing the Fitbit app without success.
It doesn't make sense to me why the Fitbit app keeps restoring your false sleep when you've deleted it and that it's detecting sleep when you are frequently moving your feet.
For now, please submit this issue using the Feedback option in the Fitbit app:

Out of curiosity, which Fitbit device are you using?

Thank you @RiekoC - I contacted them according to your instructions and also chatted with them.
Unfortunately they just told me to wait for the next update (Oct 7). As the problem has been going on for a long time, I'm a bit pessimistic about the new version solving the problem, but hopefully I'm wrong!
I have the Inspire 2 (I want the device to be as small and unintrusive as possible - just hate all flashing notifications and pep-talk given to me by machines).
