Seems replies to an old thread were disabled, and no one from FitBit ever updated that thread with a resolution, so I'll just respawn that thread topic in a new thread here. If my device is tracking my HR throughout the day, it seems at least POSSIBLE to manually add activity for a time in the RECENT past and have the HR/zones info show up for that workout. Coupled with https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/Edits-to-Exercise-Activity-is-Not-Saving/m-p/5649778#M18... this renders your fitbit virtually useless for TRACKING EXERCISE (a core functionality) unless you religiously start and stop your activity every. single. time. FitBit/Google is harvesting our data, no doubt, but won't let us use it ourselves?
My suggestion would be to that if a user logs manual activity (or manually edits a tracked activity) within a 24 hour period, the HR/Zones should still appear. If they manually log or edit outside of that 24 hour period, the changes SHOULD STILL SAVE (see related thread) but understand if HR data doesn't come through.
