Why does Fitbit have two different distances for the same run? What is the difference between the too and bottom distance?
I found posts going back to 2018 just been having this issue without any clear answer. Is there anything we can do about this?
For some background, I have a Versa 2 and I'm using a Moto G6.
Moderator edit: Subject for clarity

Hi @CHolland, welcome to the Community Forums! Sorry for the delayed reply.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for attaching a screenshot into your post. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know if you experience this inconvenience every time you route an exercise? If such is the case, with which activities you experience this? How many times you experienced this? If you haven't already done so, please restart your Versa 2 and try the following steps:
- Force quit the Fitbit app.
- Uninstall the app from your mobile device.
- Make sure that the Motorola Moto G6 Android version is up to date.
- Reboot your mobile device.
- Reinstall the Fitbit app.
- Login using your account credentials.
Keep me posted and let me know if you have any additional questions.

I experience it to some degree with every run. I have only done runs with it, so that's the only time I notice it. It usually never goes above .05 miles extra (at least not yet).
I did exactly what you said and still nothing. The info is still wrong on the screen and my new run had the same issue. This time I did a shorter route I use to run all the time (and had a ton of data for) and it was still off by the same amount.
My only real question is which number is correct (it's driving me crazy having two numbers on the same screen)? I have fitbit linked to strava, and when it auto-uploads it always uploads the smaller number and, when I click correct, it shows the larger number. Is fitbit possibly subtracting a warm up distance? The GPS lines look relatively straight when I zoom in, so I don't think that is the issue.
Thanks!

I got an update on my firmware which fixed it for 2 or 3 runs. Now I am back to the same issue. Strava corrects the distance appropriately, so the GPS file seems to be fine. The issue seems to be the fitbit app/software.
I also noticed that, on the exercise map, the 0.0 always starts down the street. Not sure if this is related.

I've had the same problem and it's super frustrating not knowing which is the correct distance when it's over 2 km difference!
