Missing Data since Update

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Since the last Android App update on October 30, there have been 3 serious problems:

- Sleep stages are no longer displayed. I'm talking about REM, Deep, Light, etc. It simply shows between "Awake, Restless,Asleep".The proper stages are only visible on days before October 30, but have not been shown since.

- Health metrics: breathing rate, it is simply not recorded since October 30.

- Health metrics: HRV (Heart Rate variability) is also simply not recorded ("No Data")

I use a Google Pixel 3 watch, and am mostly interested in sleep and health tracking. These reported problems are very upsetting since they precisely affect the only data i care about.

This seems to have fixed itself after a few days, it's working again.

Not for me. Pixel 7a & pixel watch 3, both up to date. No joy.

Same for me since 3 days. Sleeping data and some other information is missing. Pixel watch 2 and Fitbit Premium

I started having the same issue on 11/16. Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel 6 phone. Missing HRV, breathing rate, sleep stages, and scores that use HRV. I don't see any recent updates and no updates available.

This looks like an issue with Pixel Watches. Did something change behind the scenes? Is there an option I need to change? Or do I just wait for it to start working again.

I hope this is fixed soon and have a Terrific day!

I tried something this morning that, although time consuming, worked for me. We shall see if it endures:
- disconnected my pixel 3 in the watch app on my phone.
- "forgot" the watch in phone's bluetooth settings on phone and turned off bluetooth, then restarted the phone.
- reset the watch to factory settings, while that was happening I reenabled bluetooth on phone
- This all made the made the watch detected as a new device, BUT
-  during setup, when asked to restore backups from my "old device", I sad NO!
- when walked through the setup I chose all of the usual stuff, and I agreed to link the watch to fitbit.

Finished the setup, and although my backups were not restored, the playstore library list of apps were reinstalled. Next, on the watch, I opened settings-system app and it told me I needed 27 updates on the watch, which included all of the fitbit stuff and some minor system stuff. Tapping "update all" did nothing, I had to update them manually one-by-one.

When I opened the fitbit app on my phone, my premium account settings were all restored. I tried syncing by pulling down the screen and Presto! All of my data was restored, including the missing data that never made it to the phone since November 2nd. The downside was it took a bit of time, and a few of my apps lost my tweaked settings (I'll fix them as I use them). But I tested the sync of watch & fitbit every couple of hours, several times, before I posted this; it still works. It's involved, I know, but I came up with it in desperation and it worked for me. I hope it helps some of y'all as well!

Sense 2 chiming in

I notice that my GW3 restarted during last night's charge. When I checked, the security update has changed to November 5, 2025. The Pixel 6 Fitbit app, which updated 3 days ago, now appears to be showing everything from yesterday's sleep cycle, including HRV, Breathing Rate, Reediness and sleep scores.

It looks like the issue for me was a delayed update to the watch.

However, I noticed this morning that the GW3 is 3-4 minutes fast.

I hope your issues resolve and have a Terrific day

Thanks for the update. My Pixel 3 watch is now capturing all the missing
Fitbit sleep metrics as well. I'm glad to hear that Google and Fitbit were
able to fix whatever was causing the issue.
