Missing data of past few days

Hello,

I just noticed I'm missing all the data of the passed 2 days on the app of my smartphone.

I don't know why so I'll write down a breakdown of what I did with my Versa the past few days.

During the weekend I noticed there was a firmware update so I wanted to install it.

The installation failed over and over trying on the WiFi so I tried doing it via bluetooth after it failed for the 3th time.

It took a while but it was succesfully installed using bluetooth.

Since then I experienced slowness in activating the screen (1 or 2 seconds before lighting up) and lagg when swiping to read the notifications or browsing through the apps and alarms. (A bit annoying but still ok)

This kept on going till today.

Today I wanted to check the time and it took 4 to 5 seconds before the screen lit up so I got a bit frustrated and decided to reboot the Versa.

This done it seems to be working again without slowness.

After that I opened the app on my smartphone and noticed I'm missing 2 days of data, sleep, steps, heartrate, ... everything.

I checked the online dashboard and it's also gone over there.

Yesterday evening when I last checked it was still present.

So now I'm wondering if this is a syncronisation issue or if the data is just gone.

And if it's gone why is that? Is it something I did or a problem with the Versa?

KR.

Awesome to have you here in the Fitbit Community @Voltbeat. Welcome aboard!

It seems 2 days of activities were lost after the reboot of your Fitbit Versa. I'm wondering how it goes? have you reviewed if the information was recovered in your Dashboard. Sometimes is just a delay to compile your data. A good practice would be to review your Fitbit.com Dashboard if your information is there.

I'm asking this, since by restarting your tracker your information should not be deleted. The tracker has not that capability to remove your data. In the worst scenario, if your information was deleted automatically, most of the times is due to an internal error of the tracker. However this is not often and it doesn't happen in common scenarios.

Make sure you have the most updated version of the Fitbit App. There is a new version available and if you need more information, please visit this post.

In case the issue continue, try to reset the app: log out from your Fitbit app and go to your phone settings. Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in your downloaded apps list. Once you are there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app. Finish the workaround by restarting your phone. When your phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again.

Hope this helps and let me know how it goes.

Hello Roberto,

I've been busy so it took me a while to get back at this post. Sorry for that.

All the missing data was back on the next day.

It was creepy because my dashboard on Fitbit.com was also missing these 2 days so I thought it was erased for sure.

The fitbit app was already the latest version, installation of automatic updates is on and I checked to be sure.

I also no longer experience slowness on the Versa. Smiley Happy
