MobileTrack 7 day steps

I am using a Google Nexus 5x without a tracker (using the phones built in mobile track feature). My phone does track my steps, however other people cannot see my steps in the 7 Day Step count. Why is this?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here @mcgovernmatt! This issue may have an easy fix, sometimes the privacy settings on the Dashboard are not allowing your friends seen some of your information. To do this, please follow this steps: 

1. Log into your dashboard at fitbit.com and click the gear icon in the upper right corner of your dashboard.
2. Click Settings > Privacy and make your choices according to these rules:
   • Items marked as "You" are only visible to you.
   • Items marked as "Friends" are visible only to people on your Friends list.
   • Items marked as "Anyone" are visible to all Fitbit users.
3. Don't forget to click Save.
