Why is mobiletrack constantly notifying as "not tracking steps?" Battery is unrestricted as it should be.

Moderator edit: Subject for clarity.

Every since the update last week, but it does seem to sync properly so that is weird.

Mine has been doing it last couple months too.  Battery setting is "unrestricted" just like it wants.  Used to be able to clear notification by opening Fitbit app then fully closing it down, notification would then go away.  But now ever since new app update few days ago this notification is CONSTANTLY on, cannot clear it no matter what I do!  Even tried unpairing & repairing MobileTrack device in app, same thing.  🤷‍:male_sign:

@Artful1 @Ad_B Nice to see in the forums again. @J_cahill1266 Welcome to the forums!

Thanks for reporting this situation with the Fitbit App. I have set up MobileTrack and will try to replicate the notification. However, would you be so kind to send me a screenshot of the constant notification? Please try clearing the Fitbit App's caché memory. You will then have to log in again and probably set up MobileTrack again. Check if the notification will be shown again. Thanks in advance!

Before the App update my mobile tracking was always on and I had a notification. I was good with that. Now it is gone and I don't know how to get it back

I am getting this issue and I've never even activated mobile track! Please advise how to get rid of it.

My android phone updated (really don't like the new UI) this morning and I can not get rid of the same notification.

I'm getting it, too.  This morning, it didn't track my treadmill steps.  The new update sucks.

Hi @RodrigoMFitbit . Thanks for your reply

I have disconnected the phone from inside (in an attempt to disable the MobileTrack completely) and then wiped the app cache from the Android settings screen. The notification is now gone, has been for over a day (haven't re-enabled MobileTrack yet)

Thank you.  Mobile Track hadn't worked since the new upgrade.  I cleared the fitbit app's cache on my Samsung A54 mobile, as suggested. I turned off my phone and restarted it, then opened fitbit app, top left (devices). option prompted me to add phone.  I followed screen prompts and it sync'd.  I refreshed the sync (top right) to check it worked and it sync'd again. Woohoo!! Happy.....still not keen on the new UI though....
