Hi all, just got my Charge 2 and love it but for one thing. I cannot get it to sync seamlessly as it should but I have found a workaround that works for me.
I have a Motorola G4 with Marshmallow, an unsupported device by fitbit, which seems crazy to me, but there you have it.
I went through all the helps docs, did everything, re-installs, location and sync setting adjustments, deleting apps that may conflict, etc. I went as deep as you can go in the help docs and message threads to no luck, until I found one tip that worked.
The only thing that has worked for me is going into the bluetooth setting of my phone, upnpairing the device, repairing, and then going back into the fitbit app. Its a ugly workaround but its the only thing that works for me so far.
So maybe this will help someone until Fitbit gets the moto G4 on board, if ever. Let me know if I am misinformed about something or put something incorrect in here. Cheers

Rick_H,
I have the same phone and tracker. I have noticed that my Charge 2 has been syncing even without location turned on. I noticed that my steps were updating before I enabled location and checked the tracker to verify that the step count was the same on both the tracker (before I opened the app) and on the app. My G4 did receive a security update this morning, but it was doing this earlier in the week. I did unpair and repair as you suggested on Wednesday to ensure that everything was working properly. When was the last time that you restarted your phone and tracker?

Great work around, this worked for me after fiddling around for better part of an hour.
I think it is very strange that Fitbit isn't doing anything to put this on compatability list.

I just got this phone today and I'm very disappointed to find that a new model of phone wouldn't be supported by an app like fitbit. I can't use this tip as my phone won't even find my Charge 2 as a device, let alone pair with it!! Absolutely maddening!

Agree, I ended up synching to my computer. Very annoying.

After the initial sync, it stayed synced for a day until my phone got too far from the FitBit, and wouldn't re-sync the next day.
I've tried this fix with no luck.
I'm giving up on the FitBit and returning it.
Good bye

Hello, @retiredtempe, @John2charge! Welcome to the Forums! When this happens you just have to restart it and then you can log out of the App, and reboot your phone. This usually fixes the problem.
I'm sorry to hear that you will be returning your tracker. I would recommend you to give it a try before you give up on it.
Hey, @John2charge! Thanks for sharing that yours is working perfectly.
Have a nice Friday!

Hi! I've just purchased a Fitbit Charge 2. Almost everything seems to sync and pair correctly with my Moto G4 Plus however, I cannot receive SMS text and calls on my Fitbit.. 😞 I've tried all options and Googled steps as well! Any suggestions and ideas?
Thanks
