My Fitbit HR logs steps when riding my Harley. I tried riding without it on my wrist and it still logs. How do I prevent this from happening?

Hello @Caddmann,

Welcome to the community!

You can do one of three things:

  • You can cancel the steps by entering a 'Driving' activity on the activity page for that duration.
  • Search for an app called DriveBit, which will enter a driving activity on your behalf.
  • I believe that the Charge HR does not track steps while it's charging, so you can plug it in (battery pack perhaps?) and it won't register steps.

I hope this helps.

I use the drivebit app on my android phone and it works great. You can have a widget set up so you just press on before i hop on and stop afterwards (it displays an trip timer). It has a nice option that you can edit the times before it uploads the data to fitbit servers, so if you've forgotten to turn it on/off you just set it for a minute and then edit with the corrected times 🙂 ..
