Motorola G6 security malfunction

Hello, I have a Fitbit inspire HR and a Moterola g6 plus. I have fingerprint and pattern lock on my moterola, but the Fitbit app is messing with it. In result everyone can open my fhone without using the fingerprint or the pattern.  First contacted Moterola they adviced me to delete apps one by one to see which app was making this happen. Because in safe modus the security worked properly. It turns out to be the Fitbit app. After removing that, it worked again. Moterola adviced me to contact you. What can I do about this.

I'd like to ask you some questions to better understand what is going on:

  • How is anyone able to access your phone? Just by unlocking it?
  • Has this been the case since the very beginning or did it start after some time?
  • If the latter, when did it start? Was it after an update?

I don't know if it's been from the beginning, but I think that it is. I
just recently noticed because my daughter just swiped open my fhone, which
should not be possible. I don't have the Fitbit for very long, since may.
Normally nobody can open my fhone because of the fingerprint or pattern if
fingerprint dous'nt match. But now non of those work and you can just swipe
the screen and use my fhone. Only after removing the Fitbit app it worked
again.

I can definitely see how this can be very worrisome. I do have some follow-up questions that I'd like to ask you to better understand:

  • What Android version is it that you are using?
  • Is the app installed at this moment?
  • Did you get a notifications from the Fitbit app on the lock screen?

If the app is not installed at the time, please try installing it once again and let me know if this continues to be the case after the re installation.

Security level 1 MEI 2019

 

It is not installed at this moment, reinstalling did not work at all. 

I did not get any notification on the locked screen. I did get reminders to move etc. on my watch. Like it's supposed to do.

 

Currently trying to sell the watch, because not having any security possible on my fhone is not an option for me.
