It seems like non of the apps in My Apps are working. I have not added any apps so they are just the defaults. The same behaviour happens when I launch the Clock Faces activity and select a face -> white splash screen with a spinner that loves to spin and spin and spin.
Charge 3 running v28.20001.63.5

YojanaFitbit,
I don't think I'm going to get beyond Step 1. My Ionic, for one reason or another, never received any of the updates beyond FW 27.33.1.30. I think it is supposed to have 27.70.7.27.
Should I press on anyway?

@YojanaFitbit There is an issue with your steps, specifically, step 3. Though I did not specify this, I cannot switch to ANY clock face. With regards to step 3, what does the "... as well as in the gallery ..." part mean? What gallery? I was unaware that there were two places where you could set the clock face. There is only one place for a clock face to reside ... the watch ... so why are there two apparently independent places to set it?
As I indicated in my original post, there is not an issue only with the Clock Faces activity. NONE of the apps are working (most importantly for me, this includes the settings app). How do the steps you provided address this issue?

"The answers you give are not solving any issues the issues lies in the company you work for. We all have tried several steps to resolve this issue and still the problem remains and the fact that there are several different people on several different phones have the same issue, we can spend the rest of our life trying to reboot and uninstall but why? The fact is it needs to be fixed by fitbit who created this baby in the first place so "Fitbit please do something other than sit back and collect the money"

Once again your fixes are so generic, the fact that everyone has the same issue here is more than just a coincidence. When several people tell you the same thing and are all on different phones etc then it becomes a software issue/ So we are fed little bits an pieces because the company does not want to do anything about there mistake, insulting our intelligence is beyond ridiculous so pass blame where it should be back to the Company ?Fitbit? when are you going to fix the issue/ And also it would help if people would report it, this site is here for people to cry on and nothing more.

Hi @ejbm I am the original poster of this issue. I suspect that the cause of the problem is that one of their updates broke compatibility with older versions of android. I and others who have commented on this issue are running android 6. The most recent version of android is 10. I read in another issue that fitbit has stopped supporting android versions older than 7 but this has not been confirmed by anyone from fitbit on this issue. So check you android version and if it is older than 7 then you are probably SOL, just like the rest of us.

I fear you may be right.
I was just discussing this with some family members this weekend.

I am not even using a phone, I am using my laptop and the same thing is happening to me I am so disgusted with this expensive product! No help from Fitbit either! Just canned responses, they use Covid as an excuse!

Hello,
The issue at hand are no worries for fitbit, there employees are just a farce.
They are there to take the fall for the creators that made this. Truth is they made
billions of dollars and could care less. The answers that support give you are always
after the fact and same old same old. Most of us have tried all of the so called fixes
that that they tell you. It is not the employees fault but the corporation fitbit. So
good luck when you buy a fitbit you are on your own.

I am thinking about getting a Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music, since it appears to do everything I wanted my Ionic to do, but didn't. But honestly, is their support any better? Do Garmin users dream of moving to Fitbit because of the issues they face?

Hello,
Garmin use to be better in all honesty support friendliness Is a thing of the past. As far as Garmin 3 goes I had the music one and sent it back it freezes up and the colors of the screen are washed out looking Fitbit has the Garmin beat in screen displays. It comes down to what you like and don’t like I believe Garmin and Fitbit are even.

@Fitbit This is clearly a problem for many of your users that are active in this community and likely many more who are not. So, are you going to help us or are you no longer supporting older versions of android? If it is the latter, at least do us the courtesy of telling us.

I don't think it has anything to do with Android versions, I'm using a PC and having the same problems!

@BHINNJ There are clearly issues with both. This issue is posted in the Android App section of the forum.

I now have a phone that is running Android 10 and everything works as expected.
Version 3.25 of the app for Android has recently been released. Updating may resolve the issue or cause more issues. Apparently there is only one way to find out.
