I've have my versa for about 2 or 3 months......worked like a dream. All of sudden after the latest fitbit update it will not sync at all. I've uninstalled and reinstalled app from my LG 6 phone which this site says it is compatible with and nothing. I've restarted my phone as well restarted the versa and nothing. I've turned off the bluetooth and turned it back on and nothing. Will this issue ever get fixed after you do a update. I've had this happen before with a different fitbit device. So frustrating!!!!!!!!

I've done that several times. Once the device has been "found " it won't connect after failed attempts of me restarting the watch and turning off and on the bluetooth.

Can you leery me know what the solution for this was? I have the same phone and my versa doesn't wanna sync either after multiple restarts, reinstalls, resets and all other suggestions from these forums. I'm about to return this fitbit and go with another device.

I also have a LG G6. I have the same connection issues between the phone and device. I have read all the threads and applied all support suggestions. The device is still very unstable and pretty much useless. My wife has the same phone and Alta HR as I do and at times has sync issue. BUT - hers does show it is paired with her Alta HR. MINE doesn't ever show in the list anymore as a bluetooth choice OR paired device.
I am a retired computer engineer and believe not only is the software for the phone broken - as this started with the October updates going forward. But I also believe my Alta HR is not out there as a bluetooth device in the list like it had months ago.
BTW - I did follow the instructions to setup a replacement Fitbit device as outlined above. It had to retry numerous times before it finally accepted the device.
So with that said - is the firmware bad, or do I need a replacement Alta HR since the one I have is not available very often via bluetooth on my phone?

Hey Redwood3 - I'm still having the same problems even after talking with Fitbit. I have uninstalled the app on my phone because it's apparently it's useless on there. I installed it on my Samsung Galaxy Tablet and it was working fine until Saturday when the new update came out. Now it won't sync at all anymore. It's a shame that the watch works great but the Fitbit app sucks, especially since my devices are supposed to be "compatible". Hope this helps you out.

I think the app has a lot of problems that Fitbit apparently can't seem to figure out. I've had other Fitbit watches and installed the app on my phone and as soon as they come out with a software update, it won't sync like it used to. I'm looking into Garmin watches right now. Hope this helps.

The app (3.11 for Android) and the Dashboard are also out of sync. I have tried everything Fitbit has suggested numerous times - to no avail. The Software is unstable and full of bugs.
Garmin might be the way to go, but I just got my watch in August 2019 - it worked OK till October updates and has never worked properly since.
They need to post a message like they have for IOS 13 issues instead of insulting our intelligence.

Same issue. I'm just done with fitbit. No matter what type I get, I have syncing problems. I've done more uninstalling and installing then I'd care to think about.

I updated the Fitbit android phone app to 3.12, reboot phone and watch. I also turned off any power management on the fitbit app. These 2 procedures seemed to have helped. But I have noticed that sometimes it doesn't always sync on demand from the app.
Also - the Dashboard that you view in your account on the internet doesn't always refresh - and then sometimes it does. I just tested it right now and the app sync with the watch AND the Dashboard did update and shows it is current as far as data and timestamp.
So there is some improvement. On the downside, leaving the power management off on the phone AND leaving Bluetooth on and allowing all day sync, it burns up the battery on my phone much faster than normal. So you may have to manage that. (I got rid of another brand fitness watch and app since it also burned up my phones battery.)
Update: 5 minutes later I tried another manual sync - it doesn't update the data from the watch and the dashboard only shows the older manual sync from a 5 minutes ago. So I still think there is some instability here.
