I have been trying since Monday (7/1/19) to sync my fitbit ionic and it will not. It keeps saying syncing error, try again later. There is not fitbit app update needed in my google play. I have restarted my phone, I have shut down my fitbit and restarted it . Nothing is working!!! 

I have a galaxy s10+, and it was syncing on this device perfectly fine until this week. I checked for updates in the app for my ionic and in google play for the app and both are up to date. Please help me fix this problem!! I had over 11,000 steps yesterday and nothing is showing up.

Try restarting the Charge 3, if this doesn't work we would need to know which phone that you have.

Same here with an Alta, and ditto with my wife with a Versa. My wife's phone is an iPhone-8, mine is a Sony Xperia Compact. Both are supported devices. I've also tried and failed with a Samsung galaxy tab - same issue. The only way I can get my fitbit to sync is through the USB dongle or to my windows-10 laptop. This entire problem cropped up about a month ago when Fitbit pushed an update out that effectively broke their bluetooth support. I'd really appreciate it if Fitbit just manned up and owned this problem so folks can move on.

That's helpful. I too started having an issue in early July. This actually happens every two years when they have a big push for a new model. I'm pretty tired of this repeat issue. Not everyone wants to spend over $100 for all the bells and whistles which I DON'T want. My Alta was doing just fine. I don't need to replace it. So, fix the sync issues. I have an LG 6 and all the programs are up to date, all the other things needed tried. Not syncing.
