New Alta HR need to touch skin at all times?

Hi

I currently have the regular Alta but have just bought the HR version.  Does this continuously need to be in contact with your wrist? I wear my Alta on the metal bangle fitment for work and I'm concerned I won't be able to use the bangle with the HR? Anyone know please?

Thank you

Hi, @Lorna_alo! Much like with the regular Alta, it will register your steps better if you wear it on your wrist, but it doesn't absolutely have to be. You just won't get the benefit of the somewhat more accurate calorie burn from your heart rate if you don't.

Thanks.

My regular Alta is on my wrist but the bangle is loose rather than the regular strap it comes with. Steps register ok on this fitting as it's a fitbit bangle it was the whole HR thing I was worried about as I wasn't sure if it had to be touching at all times?

Thank you for your help 😊15005824470192053986949.jpg

It won't register perfectly all the time, but it should be fine in general!
