New Charge 2 set up - Samsung Galaxy s7 edge will not pair

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I cannot set up my new Charge 2 on my Samsung Galaxy s7 edge.

It gets as far as inputting the 4 digit pin number and just times out.

I have:

Restarted my phone

Rebooted the charge 2 as per other threads

Turned bluetooth on and off

Location is on and settings allowed

It looks like it may be running on old firmware as says 20.22.2017 when I reboot it. I have no other devices wireless or computer to set this up

Hi there @Ygb90, awesome to see you have joined to the Fitbit Community! I saw you are experiencing issues to set up your tracker after the 4 digit pin code.

In this case I do not believe the firmware of your tracker is causing this issue, usually if the tracker has an old firmware version the app will notify you after the set up is completed. So as you can see, there is no way to update your tracker if is not before setting it up with your Dashboard.

In other instance, the version of the app might be outdated. In this case then it is possible you experienced some troubles at the moment to set up your tracker. However I'm sure you ave the latest version. For more details please review this post: Android app version 2.66 is now available - 2/5

Since you have covered all the basic troubleshooting for these type of issues I recommend to do the following:

Log out from your Fitbit app and go to your phone settings. Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in your downloaded apps list. Once you are there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app. Finish the workaround by restarting your phone. When your phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again to set up your tracker.

Hope this helps and let me know how it goes.
