I got the software update and now my sleep, activity, floors climbed, and water tiles are gone. Is there a way to get them back without going back to the old dash board?

Try scrolling down to the bottom of the dashboard, and hit the edit button. Then you should see a plus sign, which will allow you to add tiles.

I don't even have a edit button in regular view ( up/down) but I just turned my pad horizontal and all my tiles as well as the edit button appeared. Is this a bug? Or just bad design?

@Kevinhouse1960, this appears to be a problem with some tablets and the Android app.  Check out this thread on this subject:

After recent update, I no longer have option under advanced settings to change back to old dashboard. What gives?

They made it so that you are forced to use the new dashboard. Bad design IMO.

The new dashboard SUCKS, SUCKS, SUCKS.  Fitbit's decision to force it on us, whether we want it or not, sucks even worse.  I hope you're bankrupt before the year is out, and I'll do everything I can to steer people away from your crappy products. Fitbit is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. You completely ignore your customer's desires, and give us crap that no one asked for, that doesn't work, and that can't be turned off.

Everyone please go here:  https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/Bring-back-the-old-android-dashboard/idi-p/19741...

and vote to bring back the old dashboard.  I'm sure Fitbit will ignore it, like they ignore almost every other customer desire, but at least people who come here to do research will see it.

Since they've decided to force the new dashboard on all users, they've simply deleted the post in which people could vote for retaining the features of the old design. they don't care for the opinions of their users, they just act as if they do.
