There aren't going to switch it back, and their official reply is that you can't switch back to an older version once you have updated although this isn't actually true. You have to uninstall the current version and manually reinstall an older version from an android software repository such as... it turns out naming them is banned but they aren't hard to find.
I have installed version 3.88 so I have the old look and functionality again.
Not going to reactivate premium though
