I got a new phone for Christmas. I set it up with Fitbit and everything went well... except notifications. When I click on the persistent notification, It tells me to link my Fitbit with my phone for better connectivity features. Also, when I try to re-enable notifications, the system message 'Link Alta with phone' appears. I click Ok, and it still doesn't pair.
I think this is a problem with how Oreo (and now Pie) handles Bluetooth as the device is never paired, thus not letting more advanced connectivity features working, only syncing (which to my knowledge doesn't need the Fitbit to be paired with Bluetooth, just within the app).
Many Thanks,
Max Taylor.

I have the Xiaomi Mi A1 and ever since I update to Android Pie the bluetooth started to go wrong. I deleted the Fitbit App and re-downloaded it, and now it the app itself won't even open....
Before the update to Pie I had no issues at all

Hi, @SunsetRunner. I got the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite which is quite similar to the pixel 2.

Thanks for the quick response, @SunsetRunner. Unfortunately your phone is not on the list of Supported Devices. This does not necessarily mean it won’t work. It simply means Fitbit has not tested that phone yet. But I did notice on that page that the Xiaomi MI 6 is listed as definitely not compatible due to Bluetooth issues that prevent certain devices, like Fitbit devices, from syncing. I’m not sure exactly what that means for your specific model. You may want to check with Support.
