Since the latest update, every time I try to look at my daily exercise map, the app does not respond and asks me to wait or close.

Hi, @Starjr52 welcome to the community. May I suggest you try reloading the app? Sync your app, Go into your phone settings>apps>Fitbit>clear cache and delete the app. Restart your phone and reload the app from the Play Store, log in again.

You do not mention which device you are using, check the GPS settings are active on your device.

Synced the app; cleared the cache; deleted the app; restarted my phone;
reinstalled the app and still no luck. When I select the day's activity, it
goes to the map page but never displays it and then goes to app not
responding. When I select close app it just goes back to the day's activity
map page.

I have a versa 3. Went through step by step what you suggested but to no avail. App still locks up when attempting to display day's activity map. Settings on versa 3 does not display gps settings.
