New watch and new phone

I've downloaded the Fitbit app onto my new phone but I can't connect my new watch.
Can anyone help please?

@Cymraes44, can you provide a little more information, such as what phone and what operating system you have, and what Fitbit device you have?

I have a Fitbit Alta HR and an Alcatel Android phone.  I have followed instructions but it doesn't work

You should take a look on this article: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2315

 

It looks like that your phone is not on the compatible devices list and if your Android version is lower than 7.0, it is highly unlikely that the app will work properly

I have downloaded the app on my phone, it's just getting my watch connected is the problem and I have had this watch before with no problem.

I've had an Alta HR for a time and used with a Motorola Moto G3 with no problem. But when I changed to a Moto G5S plus, a phone that is not on the compatibility list, the watch couldn't sync with my phone anymore. If your phone is not on that list, it probably won't connect with your tracker.

I had an email from Amazon this morning telling me how to put it on my laptop, that is now done.
