No internet connection in app

I'm setting up my first Fitbit. I got the app downloaded and set up my account all through my phone. But when I go to set up my Charge 4, it says it can't connect to the network. On the main page, it says "No internet - go online to sync". I've tried connecting through wifi and using phone data over cell network, nothing works. I can access the internet on other apps, plus I was able to login through the app, but it won't let me set up my Charge 4.

I'm using a Motorola E4, Android 8.0.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @M0ll0y It's great to have you here.

Thanks for the details on your post and for the troubleshooting performed. Please try the following:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app by going to your phone's Settings > Apps > Fitbit.
  2. Uninstall the app from your phone.
  3. Make sure that the Android version is up to date.
  4. Reboot your phone.
  5. Reinstall the Fitbit app.
  6. Login using your account credentials.

Hope this helps.
