No kids view on the Fitbit App?

Just bought and installed an Ace 3 for my child. Created a family on my phone. Then installed the Ace on my child's phone. I see my child under Community>Family in the fitbit app. But there no Kid's View option when I tap the name, only brief stats.

@Gr4ndp4 Thanks for your help.

@7thSense Thanks for reaching out about the kid view on the Fitbit app and the screenshot.

Please note that the kid view is only available when you log in with a Fitbit account only. Accounts that are linked to Google do not have this option. This may sound confusing, since you are logged in the Fitbit app, so this means you also have a Fitbit account. Yes, but accounts linked to Google have different settings. You need to follow another process to manage family members. Here you find more about this:

Thanks for your understanding.

Hi, @7thSense welcome, I've not tried to set up a child account but you may find this article helpful How do I manage my child in the Fitbit app? , I apologise if you've already seen it.

Cheers

I followed the steps there but the option mentioned (kid's view) does not appear.

Thank you.

I already have my family setup in Google. Still can't see my kids data though.

@7thSense Thanks for the reply and confirmation.

I assume you only see what is shown on the screenshot, right? Does your kid show up as your friend? According to this article: How do I see my child’s stats in the Fitbit app?, your child's daily step count appears in the list of your friends. It also states that you can access and manage your child's information by signing into their Google Account and going to Fitbit data and privacy settings. It seems you can only see their step count and their average daily step count when you open their profile. No kid view though. Thanks for your understanding.
