Hello & welcome @douglaughlin5

Since you didn't mention which Fitbit device you have, I'll do my best to give you general instructions.

  • From the Today page on your app, tap on your picture/icon in the upper left to open the Account page
  • Tap on the tile with your Fitbit device to open the specific device page
  • Under "General", tap Notifications
  • On the Notifications page, confirm that you have notifications turned on for Calls, Text Messages, Calendar Events, and Emails. Also, confirm that the correct apps are selected for each category
  • Tap on App Notifications to open the list of apps that are available to your device for notifications. The list is in alphabetical order. Swipe down the list and select the ones for which you want to receive notifications on your device.
  • Tap the arrow in the upper left to return to the device page and tap Sync Now

This should set up your device to receive notifications. If this doesn't work, please let us know and tell us which device you have so we can provide more specific instructions.

I have done everything. I reset the device, deleted the device, deleted the app, and started from scratch. It takes forever to connect, and then once it does it will connect for a few moments and then goes back to not connecting.

Had the same issue on my inspire 3, tried to get assistance from Fitbit tech support but no luck there. Finally figured out that I had to do a factory reset on my watch via You Tube, which helped get the notifications coming in again.

I tried all of those options Sarah noted and the only thing that worked was
the hard reset which I found how to do on a YouTube video, a regular
restart does not fix this issue. I have an inspire 3.

@F.O Thanks for your own experience. I would only use that a last resort. We shall see how that goes for Sarah. Thanks again.
