It's 24 hours since I updated to App 2.73 on two Sony phones not in the Compatibility list. One my current phone and the second the latest in the Sony range.
Firstly, I updated my 2 year old Sony Xperia XP with the App and everything is working, the syncing is faster (more instantaneous) on my Ionic and One in multi mode.. This Ionic had the latest firmware.
Secondly, I have access to a 2nd Ionic and I decided to purchase the latest model of my Sony mobile, an Xperia XA2, , just released in Australia, again not on the compatibility list......
Why purchase?... my current phone is starting to use the battery to excess and I had to test to make a decision because I have had no issues with the Ionic and other Fitbits on this phone.
So, in 1 hour I did what my professional mind would say, one step at a time, be cautious, but I had nothing to lose..
So, in just short of an hour, I had fully working system on both phones, then off to bed with each Ionic on separate wrists.. The sleep was disturbed.. as one would expect doing this type of thing before you retire..... The difference in sleep time was only 5 minutes between the two Ionics on the opposite wrists..
Bad winter weather stopped me doing any outside activity for testing.
So eventually I will transfer all of my other data/Apps and scrap the old phone.. That could be the final test to see if there are Apps interfering with the Fitbit process..

Hi there @Colinm39, always it's a pleasure to see you in our Fitbit Community!
I was reading your personal review of the new version of the Fitbit app and I'm glad to see all is working seamless on your end, even when your phones are not listed as compatible. Certainly our teams has put a lot of hard work with this version to address some bugs and enhance the stability of the app overall.
I'm sure many users will find interesting your comments regarding the new version of the Fitbit app.
See you later and I'll be looking forward to see how it goes with outdoor activities.
