Not logging runs correctly

This is a fairly recent thing, but my running logs are a bit weird. The total distance and time seem correct, but on the map screen at the top, where it shows details of my run, it only shows about half my run - this started a week ago. I'm using a Pixel Watch 1, and my app is up to date on my phone and watch. I make sure that the GPS is connected before starting to run. I've rebooted both devices and cleared the cache, but the map still doesn't show my full run.

I face the same problem with my Fitbit Sense. I thought it's a problem with GPS recording but yesterday I checked my run right when I finished. The full track was recorded and shown in the regular app. When I arrived home later that day only the second half of the GPS track was shown. It does not matter how long the run is always the first half is missing.

When I import the activity to Strava only the second half of the track is shown there as well. But the full statistic including times per km and heart rate record is available in Strava as well.

Today I checked the public preview app and the full track is shown there. I checked the regular app and still only the second half is there.

It seems it depends on the length of the run how quickly the first half of the GPS track disappears.

Yeah, I ran 10k today and Wednesday, and the map only shows the second 5k both times. I contacted them, and they said this is a known fitbit bug and we've just got to wait for the big google switch.

I'm not sure if it's the first half by time or by distance. For my runs it's more likely the first half of time what disappears. But I'm not sure.

By the way I've contacted Fitbit support as well and they've sent me an e-mail with instructions to check Fitbit app permissions, clear the cache, restart phone, reinstall Fitbit app... And to wait longer when my watch connects to GPS before I start the run. They ignored the information I've provided to them that right after the run the recorded path is complete.

When I manually sync the data from Fitbit to Strava right after the run the path is complete in Strava as well.

I hope they will keep the data in public preview for the future version of the app (the complete data) and not the corrupted data in the regular app.

Have a nice day,
Pavel

i have the same issue with my Pixel Watch 4. It shows the map and elevations gain accurately at first but after it has time to process or whatever it cuts off half of the workout. If I check Strava everything shows up fine so it's definitely an issue with the Fitbit app, not my watch or phone or anything else.

I've been having the same problem for about a week now. When I finish my run, I can see the entire route on the app, but after a while, half of the map disappears.

Same here.
In Fitbit (new UI) the start and end seem to be correct on the map.
In the Strava map the start point is wrong. The track and the endpoint are correct.
