Noticed on Saturday clock on fitbit  was 8 minutes slow so tried resynching and it seemed to clear it but now it keeps loosing time, its synching only once a day, and thats after the bluetooth is reset several times,  ive deleted the app and reinstalled it, but that was only a temporary fix, and all this has happened since i installed the new update,  im so frustrated,  i love my fitbit charge but right now im unable to use it as i can't have it being unreliable

Hello @Kittyb7@Huskymumma and @Dgraham666.

Thanks for trying those steps and letting me know how it went.

@Kittyb7 It definitely appears to be related to the Android 9 issue in that case. If you have the possibility, my recommendation would be to sync it with a different device.

@Huskymumma Our support team should be reaching out to you to take a closer look at the situation.

@Dgraham666 I'd like to ask you what phone is it that you are using. Keep in mind that there is a known issue with Android 9, as I mentioned above.

I look forward to your replies.

I am having the same problem. Galaxy S8 running  Android version 9. The only way to synch is do delete the device and add it. Hugh pain.

I only have a samsung tablet that has android system 4 so i can't synch my
watch to this.
I feel like im endlessly deleting the fitbit app and resynching it but its
the same problem, the phone is up to 5 hours out, and ive reluctantly
purchased a new watch, the Samsung galaxy fit e, which has synced straight
away with no problems, i want to use my charge 3 but until this problem is
solved i have no other options, im really disappointed in Fitbit

Very similar problem here although it's my wife's Ionic with the problem. Hers will sync and be fine during the day but loses time during the night. It always seems to end up being 20 minutes behind by the morning. Last night in the middle of the night it was 14 minutes behind and then 20 by this morning. It syncs and then the clock is right again. I have a newer Ionic paired with my Pixel 2 and I've never seen this problem. She's got a Samsung S8 running Android 9. What I find really strange is that the clock would drift so drastically so quickly. If it isn't syncing at all why wouldn't the watch keep pretty good time?

Did an experiment last night. Synced both ionics with our respective phones then turned off Bluetooth. Hours later my Ionic time was still perfectly correct, but my wife's was off by 40 minutes. Which implies that an Ionic should keep good time without syncing but my wife's is broken. The question is: can it be fixed?
