Notification stays on

Why is there always a notification showing on my fitbit app, but no message to be displayed?

Which phone is the Fitbit app on @Beckyfincher

I assume your referring to where the arrow points, have you trapped the icon? 

If you look at my screen shot.. All the light blue messages are unread, but only the count for the new ones will show in the notification count. 

Also notice the red circle in the top right .

This is what I am seeing.  When I open the app, there is nothing that indicates a notification.

The app seems to be draining my battery.  Why is this?i

Is your app up to date, the battery drain issue was addressed 3 or 4 updates ago. This might be why. 

You see a notification on your app icon. What do you see with the notification icon after opening the fitbit app? 

Since this thread is about the Android app, not the ionic, im moving it to the related board.
