Notifications not working

Since I've started using OnePlus 8 phone , with my Versa-2, following message comes regularly :

Notifications service not  running. A phone restart is required to re-enable notifications on you tracker.

 

However, phone restart also is not helping. Please assist

I'm not getting any notifications at all.  Not even push notifications.   Very frustrating.

I've had this issue on and off for years since owning my fitbit. 

I see it as a bonus when it actually works.

I am still not receiving any notifications.  This is very frustrating.

I had to turn on the do not disturb and turn it off 3 times and now it's working.  Should not have to continuously do that.   I expect better from Fitbit.   We'll see how long this lasts...
