Option of "draw over other apps" not working with Fitbit blaze

My Android turbo Motorola Phone "Permit drawing over other apps" selector is greyed out and will not allow the user to turn it on or off.  This happen in the Fitbit app section of my phone.  I have a fitbit blaze.  This has rendered my Fitbit DOE.  Any ideas or suggestions?

Hello there @RichardEvans, nice to see you here in the Fitbit Community as a new member! I would like to see if you can share an screenshot to have a closer look of the issue you are experiencing.

However this is not a bug but a feature Google has implemented. I've seen this issue with other apps and the recommended workaround is to restart the phone and try again.

I'm taking a wild guess here, but it is possible also this is related to the persistent notification of the Fitbit app. Review if your app doesn't have this option turned On. If the option is On, try to toggle Off and go back to the "Draw over other apps" settings and check if the option remain grayed out.

For more details this article will be of your help: Why is the Fitbit app sending a notification to my Android phone?

As I mentioned it just an assumption, so keep me posted if the issue persists.
