Phone calls and messages won't connect to Fitbit watch

I recently got an Android phone and have compatable software but when I connect my Fitbit through Bluetooth to receive call and messages on my Fitbit it comes up with "can not connect to Fitbit due to pin or code error" I have deleted and reinstalled the Fitbit bit app, ensured my setting allows calls/messages, turned Bluetooth off and back on, reinstalled my fitbit on my phone, reset my Fitbit, have turned on all day sync but still can not get it to show messages or calls on the watch. Any ideas? Thanks

It sounds like you are trying to pair your tracker through the phone's bluetooth settings page.  Your tracker is a BTLE device and can not be paired this way. 

 

When toy open the Fitbit app you should, within a minute,  receive a notice to link your tracker.  Hit ok and the Fitbit app should then pair your tracker.
