Phone (pixel 9 pro) not tracking activity. Watch is.

Hey all,

I recently upgraded to the pixel 9 pro and pixel watch 3. Fitbit is tracking activity from my watch and syncing it to my phone. BUT if I'm not wearing the watch, the phone app doesn't track activity.

I've checked all the settings I can think of. I've uninstalled / reinstalled the Fitbit app. Any other suggestions? It's super annoying to get no activity if I'm charging my watch but still moving around. Example, I walked 2 miles this morning with my phone on me whole my watch was charging and I only have 54 steps in the app. Welcome any and all ideas!

Hello @asmrtckie35

Did you set up your phone as a connected device in the Fitbit app? To check:

  • Tap on the device icon in the upper left of the Today page in the Fitbit app
  • If your phone is set up as a connected device, you should see Phone below the Pixel Watch 3 tile

If you already set up your phone as a connected device, you probably need to tap on the Phone tile on that page and sync it with the app to show your steps.
