Pixel Watch 4 syncing but the app says it's not

Fitbit Android app version 4.66.1

All of a sudden, the Fitbit app and the Pixel Watch App both report that the Pixel Watch 4 isn't syncing to the Fitbit app. The issue is that indeed it is syncing normally, in real time. Steps, heart rate, sleep, battery level - everything is syncing normally but the apps say it's not.

Hello @jeffcarp

What troubleshooting have you tried so far?

Have you tried restarting your Pixel Watch 4? That's the first troubleshooting step that I would try.

If restarting your watch doesn't work, consider setting up your Pixel Watch in the Fitbit app as if it was a new device. You can delete your watch from the Fitbit app, then add your watch back to the app. Or start the setup process and select Pixel Watch 4 from the device list. When you get the prompt asking if you want to replace your current device, select Yes.

Honestly, I've learned to just let things be with this app rather than spending time trying to fix it because most of the time when these issues occur there is nothing on the client end that resolves it. While I may not like the "go fast and break things" approach, it seems to be reality with Fitbit. My intent was to report the problem here for awareness in the off chance that it leads to bug fix updates. Within 24 hours of posting this, it was resolved without me doing anything on my end. Last week it was the battery level showing as 0% in the app, and before that it was the double counting of spent calories.

I would also try clearing the Fitbit App cache, stopping the app from the phone settings. Then try a sync.
