Pixel Watch reboots during exercise tracking since November update - Workaround

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

For some reason, replies are disabled for this thread: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/Pixel-Watch-reboots-during-exercise-tracking-since-Novem...  but I wanted to share a workaround that has been working for me.

If your main goal is simply to track your activity (rather than constantly checking stats), you can keep the Fitbit app running in the background.

Here’s what I do:

  1. Start tracking your workout as usual.
  2. Press the crown to return to the watch face.
  3. The small tracking symbol below confirms that tracking is still running in the background (You can click on it to see your stats but always return to the watch face afterwards)

For me, this prevents the watch from shutting down, whereas keeping the tracking active in the foreground causes reboots after a few minutes.

Hope this helps someone!

Hello @sahri

Thanks for sharing your workaround. This will help other Pixel Watch users experiencing a similar issue.

Out of curiosity, which Pixel Watch do you have?

Hello,

I have the Pixel Watch 1. I think that this version is mostly affected by this issue.

But I also read that it also happens on the PW2.
