Pixel phones-(Android 15) Recent/Frequent food have their tops cropped off at the top of the screen.

I'm sure 4.29 solved some problems, however it introduced a new problem.  When in the food selection both the Recent and Frequent have their tops cropped off at the top of the screen.  Same thing happens when you want to add calories to the top numeric entry field which is cutoff.

One has to wonder about all these updates but never getting very far.

43 days later I finally get this issued resolved for me.  Never mind the myriad of previous problems and those that others are reportedly still exist.  During this long wait there has been no comments from Google, even the Moderators have nothing meaningful to communicate. Google has lost my loyalty and respect for treating customers this way.  I for one will not be renewing my Premium subscription.  I got tired of waiting and I am using Cronometer.  I regret buying the PW3 and my Pixel 9 XL Pro.

Hey Support

When it will be fix ?

Thanks.

Hey, it may be the best way to go for now. I've stopped logging food in Fitbit since last week because of this issue and purchased My Fitness Pal. It syncs the food into FitBit and there's more variety to be honest. There's a 1 month trial on My Fitness Pal if you fancy giving it a go. FitBit and Google don't care and their internal processes are probably a mess. Poor work from Dev to Product to Implementation.

---

They probably didn't test it very well in regression. Shocking considering Google acquired FitBit..

Tried the above and even uninstalled/reinstalled the app.

I am using a Pixel 7 phone running on Android version 15 with a Pixel watch.

Same problem....

Needed to add custom food all I see his a blank page... Add button "missing"

Best Answer

The add custom food button is hidden behind the bar at the top, so there's no way to add custom foods until this problem is resolved, whenever that is.

Still waiting on the fix for this issue, any ETA on when this might be solved? If it's not going to be fixed might be time to start looking for a new app.

Pixel 9, same problem for maybe 2 weeks now. Love that this threat is marked "solved" when people are asking daily for an update and getting ignored.

Does anyone know how to create this issue again as "new" therefore not "solved"? (New to using the Community Forum over here). This lingering issue is driving me crazy and I don't want to use another app when I pay premium for this one. I'm super disappointed in the lack of support from Fitbit here.

I am also having the same issue. I am using Google Pixel 9 pro. Any idea when this will be resolved?

It's been weeks now with no solution, no statement, and no apology.

Google own both brands!

It's really dented my trust in Google, and I doubt I'll buy either product again.

They're earbuds keep falling out, too, and they can't even stock the necessary foam tips on their website.

What a bunch of amateurs.

I've updated to 4.30 and still have the same problem on my Pixel 8. No issues on my Samsung Tablet.

What version of Android does your tablet run?

My Pixel 6 Pro is running on Android 15 and all of my other applications are working within normal parameters except for Fitbit.

The issue with the weight tracking seems to have been resolved since it's an entirely new layout. One that I actually really don't like since the trend line is now gone. However, the problem with food still exists. The top couple of lines are still cutoff. I'm unable to see the first result when searching, looking at recent food, or frequent food. When scanning you can't read the name of the food that is populated. This has been going on for weeks and it should be relatively easy to fix how the screen sizing is working on and android app.

I see that the charting is "fixed" but I'm only seeing since Oct for weight
history under "all time," and I've been a member for a decade.

This situation is beyond annoying?

Best Answer

The lack of response to this issue is soooo frustrating. I down loaded my fitness pal, but I'm paying for premium Fitbit, unbelievable.

Best Answer

Yup. You also can't add custom foods any more, because of that cutoff, and adding quick calories instead or an approximation screws with macronutrient values. I am getting very bored with having to make approximations or enter quick calories.

I just downloaded MyFitnessPal too while also paying Premium for Fitbit. This is maddening.

Does MyFitnessPal sync with Fitbit and do diet & nutrition options? I have never paid for Fitbit Premium.
