Pixel phones-(Android 15) Recent/Frequent food have their tops cropped off at the top of the screen.

I'm sure 4.29 solved some problems, however it introduced a new problem.  When in the food selection both the Recent and Frequent have their tops cropped off at the top of the screen.  Same thing happens when you want to add calories to the top numeric entry field which is cutoff.

One has to wonder about all these updates but never getting very far.

43 days later I finally get this issued resolved for me.  Never mind the myriad of previous problems and those that others are reportedly still exist.  During this long wait there has been no comments from Google, even the Moderators have nothing meaningful to communicate. Google has lost my loyalty and respect for treating customers this way.  I for one will not be renewing my Premium subscription.  I got tired of waiting and I am using Cronometer.  I regret buying the PW3 and my Pixel 9 XL Pro.

As the kids say, srsly!

An additional impact is an inability to submit new foods to the database.
The button to take images is covered by the UI navigation button bar.
Trying to take the image activates a navigation function instead.

Is this forum actually notifying Google Fitbit support to create an
official bug report?

If not, how do we create an official bug report?

Perhaps we all need to call support.

I'm all for that, but when I went to get hold of support I got directed to
this forum how do we actually log a bug report?

I've decided to start sharing these screenshots on social media to warn other potential customers as they may be interested in buying a Fitbit, only to realise that it's broken and doesn't work.

I checked on Sunday and the weight / date selector issue that I was having seems to have been resolved. The app version shows as 4.30. FYI I am on Pixel 8.

I don't use all of the screens that others are reporting so cannot comment about those.

Best regards.

Can you please update on what's happening with the weight section? I now can't see progress on how much I've lost and its far less detailed on the graph. I want to see every measurement entered so I can track what's happening properly. When you log data, it now doesn't show the last entered data which was useful.  It looks much more "busy" in general and is far less aesthetically pleasing but mainly I'm paying a lot of money for an app that now looks very basic and has lost many important functions and data holding capabilities! Please revert to what it was before. I have a Samsung S23+.

My Pixel phone has also been driving me made for a few months by making a, mysterious, soft, double-ding sound.

It's completely random, and leaves no trace.

I've archived nearly all my apps, and now I've discovered that Google/Fitbit is so incompetent, I'm beginning to suspect the Fitbit app.

I'm reluctant to switch it off in order to find out.

Does anyone else get mysterious double-ding sounds?

I'm having the same issue using the app on Pixel 9 Pro XL. I was told that 4.30 should fix the issue but it didn't. I've tried literally everything I can think of to get this back to normal but nothing is working. This has been a problem for at least two weeks now and I use the Fitbit app primarily for calorie logging and tracking exercise and weight. Hopefully there will be a fix very soon or I'm going to have to try to find something else that works.

I am one of the people complaining about the loss of a long time series of weight data.  It now goes back only 10 years and I've been using the app much longer.  The loss of the trend line and only reporting annual averages when viewing the whole series are also major downgrades to the quality of the app.

The only reason I'm sticking to Fitbit is the long timeseries I have collected here.  If that goes away, the comparative advantage of Fitbit against the competition is gone.

Hi everybody! Thank you for your messages and feedback.

We appreciate your comments. Our team is investigating this and working on a solution. Hopefully it will come soon.

@PepeDrat regarding your question about the double-ding sounds on your Pixel phone, I suggest you to have a look at the Pixel Community! There you'll find users more familiar with the phones as here the discussion is about the Fitbit app

Try MyFitnessPal. It'll link with Fitbit app and has a good food entry thing.

Thank you!  I've used it before several years ago and it worked well.  Would be nice to just be able to do everything in the Fitbit app like I'm used to though.

@JuanFitbitis there any time frame for an update to fix the issue?  I'd like to just keep everything in the Fitbit app but, as others have suggested, there are other options like My Fitness Pal, Etc.

Not so far, but now you've given me something else to worry about! 🤣

I'm going to leave the entire Google ecosystem if this isn't resolved soon because it's an example of how unresponsive Google is with software issues like this.

It's pretty clear that folks are getting antsy about a resolution to this issue.

Please let us know how the resolution is progressing and same sort of time line.

I'm fortunate that I did not update my Pixel tablet to Android 15, so I'm able to use it to continue logging my foods, &c. but clearly a lot of folks here are not able to do this.

Your updates would be very helpful.

Fitbit, if helpful.

Any sections of the Android app that have been updated to the new Material You design that began rolling out a couple of months ago are displaying correctly. The sections that had retained the older design were also displaying correctly prior to the update to Android 15. Since the update, any sections retaining the old design such as the food and weight sections were no longer displaying correctly. However, I note that in the last couple of days, the weight section has now transitioned to the newer Material You design so is displaying correctly (though the new design does appear to have lost some important level of comparative detail that the previous design enabled but that's a separate matter).

The food section, which has retained the older design, is still not displaying correctly, and this, for me, is having significant impact in managing my calorie intake. I tend to roll over surplus or deficit calories from day to day to keep my overall intake balanced to good effect. I have been losing weight steadily for almost two years now working in this way but, since the food section stopped displaying correctly, despite my best efforts, it's difficult to manage and I have noticed my weight first plateaued and is now creeping upwards.

As a result, I am feeling the pressing need to return my Pixel Watch as integration with Google and Fitbit was the main reason for my purchase, and also migrate to one of your competitors should you not be able to resolve the issue soon. This would be regrettable as I have been a long term advocate and committed user of both Fitbit and Google products.

I trust you are working on a resolution and I hope this scenario helps you in your efforts to prioritise the matter.

Good luck, Fitbit!

Potential ETA, or reference to a ticket might help easing people. This is happening on Android phones, your best market.

Same with me. My oldest weight info was from 2012. Recently, I lost my weight details before January 4, 2018. It was only showing the average on 'all time' tab.

Contacted Fitbit support last night and support suggested that I un-installed then installed Fitbit app.  Guess what? it got worst, my earliest data is now Feb 6, 2023.

I'm using the Fitbit on Android version 14.

Still waiting for this issue to be resolved.  These historical data is the reason I'm still using Fitbit
